I read that teachers would appreciate a simple gift card over a "something" gift ... and since this is my first Christmas that involves [pre-school] teachers ... I will give it a try! I thought this pyramid or tetrahedron box would dress up the gift cards nicely:

How darling! I received a few gift cards when I was teaching and I was always so surprised and pleased to be thought of. Dressing them up this way makes them doubly delightful!
