I just love to look at it, feel it and sometime smell it! :0) I have always loved to send cards, lots and lots of cards. I was taught as a young child to send thank you notes and then it grew from there. Now, journaling is a little different. I was never one to keep a diary that much as a child/adolescent. However, as an adult, I have started so many different ones, I probably have a stack just like you. I will go a long time writing in one and then put it down and never look at it again for weeks or even months. Then, I'll pick it up and start again. I would REALLY love to start a prayer journal. I DO pray a lot, for myself, my family and for many, many other people. However, I often tell others I will pray for them and then, I hate to admit it, but I forget who all I've committed to praying for. I'd love to have a journal where I could write down all the names so that I wouldn't forget AND where I could actually write out the prayers. I think it helps us when we write things out, just like when we blog.

Well, I'm sorry to ramble on and on. I really like your blog. I can't wait to read more. I will definitely be back!

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Blessings,

Teresa <><Teresa @ ♥ Too Many Heartbeats ♥https://www.blogger.com/profile/06926075458122509648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5843193473750903258.post-26791455046380772742010-08-19T17:43:25.310-06:002010-08-19T17:43:25.310-06:00My grandson and I keep a notebook (journal) going,...My grandson and I keep a notebook (journal) going, where he writes to me, then I write back to him. It can be whatever we choose, a drawing, a special note of good wishes..just whatever. I love it and I believe he does too. He is now 8 years old and still checks to see if I've written him a note or he will ask me if I've checked "our" notebook. "Our" notebook was started when he started kindergarden, has been kept in the same place, and it is just ours. No one has ever read it but the two of us. It is a special thing we share. Love it!Patricianoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5843193473750903258.post-20183877376250311842010-08-19T17:21:11.787-06:002010-08-19T17:21:11.787-06:00I love journals and sketchbooks and notebooks too!...I love journals and sketchbooks and notebooks too! I do have a journal that I write in from time to time. In a way, it is my prayer journal, because usually what I write is about thanks, or concerns, or thoughts that I might need His help in figuring out.

I also use a journal/sketchbook for sermon notes during church. Sometimes I find if I draw a picture based on an idea or point in the message, I can recall more. . .Holly Campbellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08267503229093142779noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5843193473750903258.post-83633293402119418042010-08-17T23:08:44.817-06:002010-08-17T23:08:44.817-06:00I have.. let me count..4 very pretty journals sitt...I have.. let me count..4 very pretty journals sitting around our master bedroom right now! But that is about all they are is pretty. They are completely empty. I agree, I love the idea, it just doesn't happen. Although I am loving blogging! A few years back I bought a pretty red one and started carrying it with me everywhere. I'm on my 3rd red notebook in 4 years (one last 2 years because I didn't make as many notes) and they hold everything from my monthly budgets to to-do lists, blog ideas, conversations I had and everything in between.Jennifer Vanderbeekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09776524959729835580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5843193473750903258.post-15103547705791206802010-08-17T06:45:43.100-06:002010-08-17T06:45:43.100-06:00I totally agree with you! I have a beautiful red leather journal with a heart on it that I was keeping a record of my love story with my husband for other generations to see. I want our kids and grandkids to see what a beautiful marriage and love story looks like. Since the birth of our first child, I haven't been able to keep up! But you just inspired me to get back to it!! God Bless you!
TabithaTabitha@InspiredByGivinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04283148392831979358noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5843193473750903258.post-50009963009224387442010-08-16T22:22:59.766-06:002010-08-16T22:22:59.766-06:00I, too, love the idea of journaling. I tend to keep them for years and years, not giving up on them until they are completely full. But when I look back, I can see the answers to many prayers often in ways I never anticipated. And it reminds me that God is faithful.

Blessings,
DebbieDebbie Petrashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08235978883396499354noreply@blogger.com
