Let's step outside the box today! Wrap a Christmas gift in decorator kitchen hand towels!
These festive red and white "Jesus is the Gift" linen tea towels come in a set of two. I thought they'd make a great themed gift presentation for a cook - but this idea would work for other themes, too, as everyone needs cute Christmas towels in their kitchen! I used a cookbook gift with a mini-grater accent. A book is a nice, easy item to wrap, and you can always find a fun little tie-in that coordinates with the theme of the book, or whatever the gift may be. The only criteria, really, is that the item to wrap needs to be small enough to fit in the towel(s).
I first wrapped the folded red towel around the cookbook. Then set it on the white towel: Fold the two long sides up and over the book. Then gather up the two short ends and secure on top with a nice bright grosgrain or satin ribbon. Tie in your accent to showcase your gift theme and add a cute gift tag. (I used coordinating Jesus is the Gift snowflake themed gift tags.) This is an idea I've used for bridal showers, too! Giving a cookbook that I've found really great over the years of my marriage, wrapped in neutral-colored everyday kitchen towels or whatever matches her bridal registry... (someone did this for me 15!! years ago at my shower and I loved it!) Look in the kitchen gadget aisle for fun tie-ins! To see these Christmas towels or more of this collection:
