We discuss Jesus' birthday with the kids and celebrate with a birthday cake, we read Christ-focused Christmas stories, we share with them that people all over the world exchange gifts because Jesus' birthday is the biggest party of all! We give to the poor and needy as Christ asks us to. We go experience a live nativity play.
We have nativity scenes throughout our home. The crocheted set above was a hand-made gift to my kids from my mother-in-law.
I bought this brass set in Mexico many years ago:
We decorate our tree with a great variety of ornaments. Keepsakes my mom made or bought us as kids and throughout the years, mementos from special places we've visited or lived, lovely gifts from friends and, of late, treasures crafted by our sweet kiddos. :-)
One of our several advent calendars is on the fridge for the kids:
and a pop-up one from DaySpring in our family room:
Printed ribbons decorate one of our mini-trees:And in the kitchen scripture ceramics are sprinkled throughout – bowls, platters and plates:
I hope you enjoyed this little snapshot tour of meaningful Christmas decor around my home! What are some ways you keep the focus on Jesus this Christmas?

Same here, try to keep the focus on Jesus. Only 1 vintage looking St. Nick (above the kitchen cabinets, he was a gift and he's cool :)). I've never even been comfortable with stockings as an adult, because they've just always said "gimme" to me. I use evergreen, poinsettias, pine cones, berries, birds because I'm so thankful for God's beautiful creation. Bows & ribbon remind me of our greatest Gift. The lights (lights, candles) remind us that He is the light of the world. Even reflective bead garlands, glitter and Christmas balls can remind us that we are to reflect or shine His light to others. Nativities and angels, too of course. :)
We do a birthday party for Jesus, too - and we eat birthday cake for breakfast on Christmas Day! The kids love it, and it reminds us all why we are celebrating. Beautiful photos, Jeanne!
Thank you for inviting us in to enjoy the true meaning of Christmas. Your home is a lovely reflection of Him and what He means to you and your family. Many blessings, Jeanne! I'm so glad you joined the party! Merry Christmas,
Melissa

I love that wreath on your door! Mostly, that your focus is on the true meaning of it all. Merry Christmas!
How beautiful, Jeanne! I just love your artwork that you've shown us here--and I especially appreciate that your artwork points to Jesus! Your house looks like an especially blessed place at Christmastime. What a great deposit you are making in the hearts of your family and friends!
