The pink cake featured a large pink glass paperweight surrounded by smaller pink glass gems. Pink. Pink. PINK! Here's the 3-layer cake before I set the jewel on top. I used 5 popsicle sticks trimmed down to support the weight of the large glass diamond.
For drinks I made custom labels for pink and purple gatorade bottles. The colors match the party and personalized labels make sure everyone knows which drink is theirs. I used the jewel art to match the invites (which I'll show later) and added "You are dazzling!"
Each invited guest had one with her name already printed on it, then the blank ones were for the moms or just extras to have on hand.
In addition to the cupcakes, I set out a bowl of red and green grapes; a bowl of red and purple jello jiggler cubes; purple gum balls etc. The first two of which you can sugar to look more jewel-like. Who knew but there was a run on the jello of all things!
Happy Birthday, sweetie!
More on the games and invites next time!

What a unique and clever idea! I have to say that your kids' parties are some of the funnest I have ever seen or heard of anywhere.
My three yr old is dying for a jewel party! Where did you get that paper weight? And have you posted the invite? I would love ideas for my printables. Thanks!
Wow! I bet she loved everything!!!
Update: the big glass paperweight is from Michael's. Also, I think Pier 1 carried something similar in the past - maybe still do. I'll be showing the invites in another post! Thanks!!
Thank you so much! My daughters name is Jewel and I thought a "jewel party" would be fitting. Thanks for all the great ideas!
This is perfect! My daughter, just tonight, announced she wanted a jewel party! These ideas are wonderful. The cake is darling! Thanks for sharing!

I seriously love your website.. Very nice colors & theme.
Did you create this website yourself? Please
reply back as I'm hoping to create my own site and would like to find out where you got this from or what the theme is called. Cheers!
